Mediocre experience at uni. Societies were difficult to join and didn’t respect the university’s political stance on certain issues. Many strikes from the Professors, although the professors were sweet and helpful majority of the time. read more

There is a good range of societies and students on committee tend to be very active. However, they are limited by the union because the union makes it difficult for the committee to use the money from society sign ups for social events. Because of this, the societies are usually limited to free to organise events because they don't receive the funds to do anything more. There are also not that many even organised by SU on campus. In my previous uni, there would be regular pop ups from local/big businesses with giveaways and discounts. Kent doesn't seem to have many sponsorships/collaborations with any brands. One good thing is the cheap good available on campus. read more

University of Kent is a nice university, there’s a lot of spaces for studying and it has a very nice view of Canterbury Cathedral from the hill. The bus services are kind of mid, but at least they show up. There’s also loads of clubs and societies to get involved with which is really nice too and the fairs showcasing them is a great way to meet people who have similar interests as you. read more
