My experience at the University of Greenwich has been genuinely rewarding. I studied Economics with Finance and had access to supportive lecturers, strong career guidance and valuable opportunities, including a placement year, mentoring, student ambassador roles and networking events. The Greenwich campus is beautiful, with excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. The Students’ Union and societies also make it easy to meet new people and get involved. Overall, the university has helped me grow academically, professionally and personally, and prepared me well for life after graduation. read more

As an international student and alone, it was hard to easily adapt in my first year but the people there were always helpful into guiding me and finding the solutions on the spot even though how stressed and confused I was. The lecturers as well will do their max to assist in every case possible whether it is careers or module questions. The university is very nicely situated in a green space; large park area where you can chill and get fresh air and a magnificent uphill view; some easy entrance pass to the museum as being a student in Greenwich. Lots of cafe area or small shop outside or inside the uni. read more

Overall I couldn’t fault my university experience. All the staff were really lovely and wanted to get the best out of me and the university. The facilities were amazing, such as the massive gym and the countless amount of sports pitches. Great to see the addition of padel and pickleball courts as well. A Cup of Tea and a New Beginning On my first day at the University of Greenwich Medway Campus, I sat alone in the café, holding a cup of tea and wondering if I had made the right decision to study thousands of miles away from home. Everything felt unfamiliar—the people, the weather, even the silence. A classmate noticed I was sitting alone and asked, “Mind if I join you?” That simple question changed everything. We talked about our cultures, our dreams, and our reasons for choosing Greenwich. Soon, one conversation became many, strangers became friends, and the campus began to feel like home.As an international student, I learned that courage isn’t about never feeling afraid. It’s about taking the first step, saying “hello,” and being open to new experiences. Today, when I walk across Medway Campus, I no longer see a place that once felt foreign. I see the place where I found confidence, friendship, and a second home.Sometimes, the biggest journeys begin with the smallest conversation read more

ive spent my first year at UOG and its been really good. the lecturers for my subject are really good and actually enjoy what their teaching, which makes sitting in lectuers alot more engaging. i dont think the campus lacks in anything major, and really just ticks all the boxes for me. the greenwich campus has very historic building but also more modern buildings like the library or dreadnought, it has good study spaces and good social spaces. GSU is also really good in my opinion, one thing i really like is the free sanitary pads and tampons, which you can find in various bathrooms. and as a muslim there are good prayer and wuduh facilities. plus GSU runs various events throughout the year, i feel like theres alot of everything for everyone. i think some of the societies, at least the ones that would've been relevant to me are lacking a bit. except for the islamic society, most of them a sort of abandoned, or not too active. read more

Although there are some wonderful tutors at University of Greenwich, the structure at the university is fallible in achieving what it's supposed. Structural callousness leads to small tasks, such as turning on the AC in the classroom, into large tasks with long turnovers and having to chase various people. The Student Union, although very present online with their posting, barely do anything to help around the university besides promoting clubs/societies and hosting small events now and then. The Careers service have not been helpful, especially for assisting students with placements in their courses - the careers team is supposed to be essential to this aspect of the course, but there is barely any support. Sure, the exterior of the buildings for the Naval College campus is gorgeous, but the interiors feel way too overdone and lifeless at times. Although there are plenty of sports clubs, there is a lack of diversity with the choices of societies. At least the wifi is decent. read more

The location and campus of the University of Greenwich are excellent. They have had a very positive impact on my motivation to attend classes and spend time on campus. The support provided by both the Students' Union and the lecturers in my department has made me feel welcomed and that I truly belong. Another great advantage is the free Wi-Fi available throughout the entire campus, which is especially impressive considering how large the campus is. Academically, I can confidently say that I have had a fantastic year. Choosing the University of Greenwich was definitely one of the best decisions I have made, and I have no regrets about my choice. read more
