Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, BSc Hons PartTime
As a current student in the BSc Cyber Security & Digital Forensics programme at the University of Greenwich, I find the course to be a well-balanced blend of theory and practical experience. It provides strong foundations in key areas such as ethical hacking, digital forensics, cryptography, and network security. The university’s accreditation by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and recognition as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) adds real credibility and value to the degree. The course offers good access to labs, tools, and supportive lecturers who are knowledgeable and approachable. The practical sessions are particularly beneficial, helping students apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. However, there are some areas that could improve, such as communication between departments, feedback turnaround times, and the depth of certain modules. The workload can also be demanding, especially during assessment periods.
