History, BA Hons FullTime

I very much enjoy my course, but there is a lot of concern around the future prospects of someone with a history degree. Lecturers accept that as a academic subject history will become problematic and harder to access etc. read more

History and International Relations, BA Hons FullTime

Decent course. Lectures are recorded online and are mostly very interesting. Really flexible too as can pick any of the Politics modules. Could be more flexible on the history side. Haven’t met my personal tutor so can’t really comment on that but there hasn’t been much of a personal feel with the tutors or lecturers in my experience tbh. read more

Languages mostly seem to read off a powerpoint, which is made up by copying from the set book we use to learn which doesnt feel worth £9,000 - but that's what unis generally do anyways. Otherwise enjoyable modules, very nice teachers and good support system. read more

Classical Studies and English, BA Hons FullTime

As most people know going into a degree containing English, the vast majority of time is taken up with independent research; which at times may make you wonder why you're paying so much per year. At UoE, however, the quality and content of available teaching is so above par, that you're happy to work by yourself when needed. Professors encourage good work and supply incredible resources to ensure that you constantly know exactly what you're doing. Learning an ancient language may at times seem daunting, but both Latin and Ancient Greek are approached thoughtfully and carefully to ensure the best available teaching goes in, so the best possible results come out. read more
