Absolutely dire. In some years, you will literally not have a choice in modules. About 10 years ago they cut the budget to the Humanities disciplines in the hope to encourage 'interdisciplinary' degrees, i.e., save money. They let go a load of staff, keeping largely the younger ones. Dundee was formerly one of the few respected Continental schools in the UK, it is now a handful of people qualified to teach a ludicrously small section of philosophy, none of which seems to align into any particular focus. Studying Philosophy here is like reading a textbook with 90% of the pages randomly pulled out. I strongly recommend against this course. read more
