Year 1 and the majority of Year 2 is taught by the School of Life Sciences - which as a whole are not terrible but there is certainly some issues with skills assessments due to the fact we do not follow the exact same pathway. Advisors of Studies are friendly, approachable and helpful. They are willing to help you out or direct you to the people that can help you out. read more

I'd say to anyone applying to university to research their course in detail, find out what modules and topics you'll learn and how you will be tested (i.e. coursework and or exams). I thought that when I applied to this course I would be learning about the field immediately and getting stuck in, I was wrong. First few years are introductory to science in general and not specialised and not always the most fun. Though if you get past that you get to learning about what you are there for and its great. It can be difficult at times as its a lot of information and the human body is complex but once you get the hang of it and understand it gets easier and it becomes so fascinating. read more
