I'm still a first-year student, and I am new to Dundee. The course seems to be very popular, as there are about 350+ nursing students from all over and of different ages. The course itself is pretty manageable. As with most courses, you have to do some things independently, but there's always help whenever you need it, and the lecturers respond relatively quickly. There are different libraries you can use in the city as a student, including the one at Ninewells Hospital. The main one on the Tayside campus opens from 8:30 to 5 a.m., I think, and it has an elevator and a cafe with printers and photocopiers and rooms with different noise levels so you can pretend to study with our friend if you want to :) read more

As most courses have it, some teachers don't teach, just read off a slide. But what can you do, really? Another aspect of the course is when you're a 1st year international student, you go for all these classes that don't add value to your course. It's a complete waste of time that could be used to do something else. Classes that venture on "how are you finding the course or the country?" become a little belittling after a couple times. And they're always so constant that you're left wondering why. it doesn't help anyone's situation if there are any, it just amplifies the notion that if we did have a problem, we wouldn't be able to share it with them. read more
