The campus is easily the best thing about Stirling Uni. It's crazy how much of an ecosystem it actually is, squirrels, rabbits, fish, robins, the friendliest swans and ducks I've ever seen (clearly very used to the presence of people), and you may even spot the occasional deer near Pathfoot. There are some pretty good events that pop up every week like the therapy dogs, but I think most of the activities poorly advertised as often not a lot of people show up. Sometimes, you'll only get an email about an event half an hour before it starts and there's just nothing to be done at that point. The fact that the Stirling nightlife is so shoddy doesn't help the situation, I don't think. There's one nightclub in the entire city and I've only heard bad things about it. Other than that, it's a good city with lots of easy public transport pretty much everywhere, and the campus is usually very lively during the day with lots of amenities.

Great uni with good resources and excellent teaching staff. Lovely campus with a beautiful landscape.
It is a very beautiful place to study
Great uni, great to make friends and good to socialise.
Beautiful campus though Buildings are ugly
Nice uni, love the environment
studying at this university has been such a fulfilling and enriching experience.
Campus is breathtaking. Makes the entire experience worth it alone.
This the best student accommodation, that I have been. Even, I have booked the same room for my next academic year.
best uni ever, amazing campus and societys
Great uni, and lovely campus. Good facilities
A great place to study and connect. Coming overseas to study sport psychology is one of the best decisions I've made
not great internet or campus but students make it great
The best campus I have ever seen, most lecturers I’ve had can’t do enough for you and really do care
It's pricy but worth it , I get good security and the staff are lovely
The university accommodates to all student needs and provides support for all students
Alright, some modules work better than others

It’s fine, but the principal pays himself too much and puts rental prices up.
The union basically doesnt exist as they were sold to campus eats, and part of the union building is still closed after RAAC concrete was found which is a shame. we do have a wide range of societies and sports clubs which is nice
University of Stirling is amazing. Great facilities and very friendly staff. My professors were really good. Gained a lot of valuable knowledge.
A beautiful campus. great experience
The best campus I have seen, with amazing services provided for undergraduate and postgraduate students!
The campus has been undergoing continuous development over the three years I have attended. In particular, the sports facilities are superb. In terms of facilities, all of the available cafes/ eateries are reasonably priced and offer a great variety of food. One thing I would like to see in future is the Nisa shop being changed for a more affordable shop, it seems they take advantage with high prices.
Overall I am happy with the University
No nightlife and everything in town closes at 18;00
The union could have a lot more events going on however it is good during the day to eat at an affordable price or just to study.
Having a great time at stirling university. Some buildings are a little outdated, but overall, it’s an amazing university!!i
It's been a great experience so far. I wish there was a bit more community building stuff for the new students, especially thos who are just in the University for a short period.
Wonderful uni! Beautiful campus!
Is a great institution and it has a welcome environment with staff.
As a student from the Republic of Ireland I never thought it was possible to attend such a beautiful university outside of Dublin but I am so happy to be in Stirling University and everything is just amazing and I have no complaints. I've met so many great people and lectures that have supported me and helped me so far . I'm so grateful.
Stirling uni is great for all who love sports
It’s an amazing University with the most beautiful campus 🤩
The campus experience and free-time facilities are great. Could have a better selection of Archaeology books in the library.
Beautiful study environment. The lecturers are nice and helpful
As an international student, I’ve found the University of Stirling to be absolutely beautiful. The student union does an amazing job organizing new and fun activities every day, making it easy to meet people and get involved. The lecturers are incredibly helpful, and every staff member is so welcoming and kind. There are plenty of clubs to join, and the gym is well-equipped with everything you need. The campus is inclusive, with gender-neutral washrooms and disability-friendly facilities. I truly love this uni!
The University has a good support system for international students.
This is going to be one of the best university in the world!
My university has a beautiful campus with stunning views and great weather. There's plenty of seating for students, and the library is excellent for all-day study sessions with access to computers, which is helpful if you lose your laptop. The campus is clean, well-maintained, and the classrooms are top-notch, offering a great environment for learning with advanced technology used during lectures.
Campus: The University of Stirling is located in a scenic and vast campus built around a lake and lush vegetation. The combination of the modern and old buildings makes it conducive for studying as well as taking a rest. Academics: The university has a large number of programs and especially strong faculties in such areas as business administration, psychology and environmental studies. Most of the teaching staff is of quite a high quality and the courses are accessible with easy-going lecturers encouraging participation and critical thinking. Facilities: Stirling possesses outstanding facilities including a resourceful library, state-of-the-art laboratories and sporting facilities. The student union, which is active in organizing events and providing other services like counseling and career services, is quite active. Experience: In addition to the amazing sceneries and facilities offered by the University of Stirling, students are provided with rich academic programs.
Excellent library facilities. Missing culture such as a nice bar restaurant with music & more wine culture
It's actually a great place for international students
Overall good uni, Wi-Fi is pretty bad. While I was there a lot of the union was shut due to concrete and didn’t really go in first year other than to the freshers events so can’t really comment on that. Lecturers are, on my course anyway, all extremely helpful, understanding and won’t hesitate to help you out if you ask for a hand. Accommodation team on the other hand are some of the most useless people I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with, rude, arrogant and couldn’t organise themselves out a wet paper bag if they tried, do not under any circumstances stay in halls past first year, they are absolutely horrendous, disgusting overpriced dumps. There’s plenty clubs and societies to choose from with a bunch of state of the art sports facilities and potentially the nicest gym in Scotland, frequent busses (although somewhat unreliable with timings) to the city centre and back well into the early hours of the morning and the food places on campus are great
To continue, Kitchen is an absolutely disgraceful state- there’s Student living and then there’s this Bathrooms are unacceptable- people do not know how to clean and staff are rarely on site to clean Overall, this dump is not worth 499 a month and I’d rather jam a screwdriver up my nose then live here
Best student experience at Stirling uni!
Great University campus with lots of clubs and societies to join.
I have completed two years of study in University of stirling. It has been great so far, the facilities are mostly new providing a cosy space to study. Communication between the students and university can be quick and efficient. However, this isn't so consistent and you can find yourself struggling to get information back.
Beautiful campus and environment
10/10, best student hall, and the best managment, suzie and abbie, and the Dougi, elaine, terrific people, made every effort to make sure student stay experience was as best as possible.
Good university overall. The professors have been usually helpful, with a good level of teaching.
MY EXPERIENCE IN THAT UNIVERSITY IS HORRIBLE. IN MY ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE BOTH IN EUROPE AND AFRICA, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE SUCH KIND OF TREATMENT TO THE EXTENT THAT THE SCHOOL HAS NO REGARD FOR THE RIGHTS OF STUDENTS AND CONSIDERED IT PROCEDURAL CORRECT. THIS IS THE SCHOOL I HAVE TWO CONTROVERSIAL RESULTS ON A PARTICULAR MODULE AT THE SAME TIME. THE FIRST HUMAN DEVELOPMENT MODULE IN SOCIAL WORK. THE SECOND WAS PRACTICE PLACEMENT. EVEN BEFORE THE MID OF MY PLACEMENT, I HAVE BEEN PENCILED OUT FOR FAILURE SIMPLY BECAUSE I CRITICIZED BREACH OF PRACTICE AGREEMENT . CAN YOU IMAGINE WHERE A DIRECTOR AND PRACTICE EDUCATOR GANGED UP AGAINST A STUDENT, SIMPLY BECAUSE THE STUDENT WAS CONTENDING FOR HIS RIGHTS? COULD YOU PLEASE PROVIDE THE PEOPLE YOU USED TO CONDEMN THE INNOCENT AFRICAN TO A HEARING FOR THEM TO PROVE WHAT YOUR UNIVERSITY USED AGAINST HIM. UP TILL NOW, THE DIRECTOR AND THE PRACTICE EDUCATOR IS YET TO PROVIDE THE SOURCES OF EVIDENCE. THEY KEEP GOING IN CIRCLES.
The uni is very nice aesthetically, and has a wide range of courses
Stirling uni has amazing facilities especially if you are into your sports with plenty of societies you can join. I am in year 2 so can’t compliment the careers and services yet. The wifi at the uni is okay. Most days it works great other days you can’t log on it
Honestly love the uni, I’ve gotten support for mental health issues and support for my dyslexia
Amazing place with all the facilities. The library and the atrium is awesome to study with such cozy places. The campus is so beautiful with beautiful scenery
The campus is the best part of this university, beautiful in every season, and much larger than you’d expect.
University of Stirling is a beautiful campus with top notch facilities
A beautiful university with many useful resources and professors with a passion for teaching and learning
The university is amazing! The course works and assignments may be a little too hectic, but the environment is wonderful and you get to meet a lot of people.
It's a good uni to study at and has wonderful professors and tutors
Has a wonderful campus, very spacious and comfortable common spaces. Only a few construction delays making it difficult to access certain parts of the Cottrell building, hopefully will be remedied soon enough.
Great facilities but sometimes lacks space for all students
It is a beautiful campus with loads of activities and with wonderful lectures
I love love my uni from the facilities available to the diversity we have
Decent places to eat on campus, Co-op is the only shop in campus (albeit pricey too)
The internet or Wi-Fi of the school may be a problem in use.
Amazing university with alot of facilities.
University campus is amazing... Would definitely recommend it!
It is an amazing place to study and meet people from many nationalities.
Brilliant university. Love the campus.
Good University, with a beautiful campus, excited to study here.
Great scenery to enjoy whilst studying
Very much enjoyed my time at this university
The central campus is amazing, its all brand new and really nice but a lot of the accommodations are old and nasty.
Stirling university has a good sense of community with everything located in the one place. There is an endless list of clubs and societies available to join and the atrium has recently been renovated providing a fresh, open and sociable working environment. There is good wife connection all over campus and a range of places to eat and grab study snacks.
The accomodations felt properly made for students in mind and the campus is one of the best in the UK.
If you're wanting to go to this university to study Environmental management. Don't. There are much better options. The marking here is poor, and there is a lot of group work where others grades make yours suffer. A lot of the lecturers a poor with time management and will happily try catch you out during assignments. The accomodation is poor. I can compare thistle chambers to alcatraz. Don't go here.
Good University so far but haven't really been able to experience the student life because of covid
University of Stirling is a wonderful university. Very peaceful and wonderful area. The people are amazing and they have lots to do at the university so you can never be bored
To put it in simple terms, If you love nsture and I mean you do not mind feeding ducks and squirrels or seeing the scary spiders or the huge trees and you love socialising. The University of Stirling will be the single best university choice for you, absolutely nothing can compare to it. Be prepared tho, as the size of the university can be very overwhelming at times, do not be surprised if you have to walk a marathon during your days.
It’s nice place to be very green
Gorgeous university with loads of clubs and societies to help you make the most of your uni experience
I am so happy with my experience so far. The university is stunning, I can never get over the views. The student services have been great also in dealing with issues I had been having. I'm so happy to be here
The students union support need to be developed, as to get feedback is taking ages after several reminders, also an virtual introduction is a must to be enclosed with the registration process. Until this moment I'm struggling to contact the concerned focal point to have some guidance which is automatically affect my study plan
University of Stirling seems to have a lot of facilities and social activities however due to Covid I personally couldn’t get involved
Great places to study and work. Extremely helpful and kind student support services. Beautiful calming campus in nature. Brilliant sports facilities. Incredible range of clubs & societies.
Courses are varied. I personally am on a law degree and thankfully all the professors are experts in their fields. The campus is currently undergoing renovations and are opening new facilities left, right and center. If you don't want to attend an overpopulated university, I'd definitely recommend Stirling.
My experience has been great so far!
Stirling has good enough facilities for teach and is very nicely equipped. Though the building need some renovations.
University is small but the community and space is breathtaking
The university is alright, has a pretty campus, good lecturers and quality courses.
I have just started as a PhD student, but I like the atmosphere. Both the new and the old parts are nice. Good sports facility.
Studying nursing great uni with great support services available
Till now it is fantastic to experience a world class learning from a Top 30 University in the UK. Realising what education can make a difference I am thankful for the opportunity and Dream to contribute back to the society
even though it is just my second month here at the university of Stirling I feel like I have been studying here for ages. This is the best decision I have ever made in my life and so lucky to have opportunity studying here.
A great uni with fantastic sport.
It’s pretty good. All my learning has been online so I can’t really judge the teaching facilities despite living there last year
PhD Candidates and international students: don't do it. I spent 6.5 long years at this university, from my undergraduate to a PhD. During my PhD, my contact time was 1 hour per month. When I requested more frequent meetings, I was informed I was not a priority as my minimum contact time requirements (as per contract) were being met. In-fighting, next to no communication between departments, extremely anti-other universities sentiment, and the services provided are only functional on a surface level. Staff are overworked and stretched unspeakably thin. Before I quit, all teaching assistants positions were indefinitely suspended, leaving professors to handle hundreds of students on their own, making the teaching staff to student ratio 1 to 200. PhD students hoping for teaching experience or professional development are given false promises and taken advantage of. Ableist policies, next to no mental health or disability awareness among staff beyond the reassuring copy-paste email.
Great Campus, definitely worth coming here
Really happy with The University of Stirling!
