My experience at the University of Manchester has been positive so far. The university provides a welcoming and diverse environment, with plenty of opportunities to connect with students and explore new interests. The welcome fairs and university events have helped me discover opportunities beyond the classroom. In particular, the Innovation Festival has been incredibly beneficial in helping me explore ideas, connect with like-minded people and take steps towards my career goals. The campus facilities are awesome, and the Wi-Fi is reliable in various areas for studying and entertainment. Overall, I appreciate how the university encourages students to think creatively, share ideas and develop both personally and professionally. read more

The University of Manchester
University of Manchester's Campus is close to the city centre, modern and a really nice walk. Buildings are well equipped and mantained and staff is always really helpful. There is a lot of activities and societies for students' that are interested, and most of them are free to access. Careers Service could be improved by making the website and jobsearch easier, especially for young students or that have never worked before. Eduroam wifi could be improved as it is not that simple to set up the first time and multiple times it disconnects automatically and struggles to reconnect. read more

The University of Manchester
Choosing a university is especially important for a Master’s, and my experience with the MSc Advanced Computer Science at the University of Manchester has shown me why you should look at the course, not just the university’s reputation. One of the biggest advantages of the course is its flexibility. A large part of the degree is made up of electives, so you can mix and match subjects and essentially build your own pathway. This freedom is something you rarely see elsewhere. It gives you the breadth to explore different areas of computer science and the time to figure out what you genuinely enjoy and may want to pursue. Beyond the curriculum, there are numerous opportunities to get involved, meet people, try new things and explore areas you never expected. Some of the best opportunities can come from the most unexpected places. My biggest advice: participate, explore and say yes. You never know where an opportunity might take you. read more
