Entry requirements for Performing Arts and Music at The University of Manchester
Entry requirements are the formal requirements students need to meet to be considered for a place on a university course. But, each year many universities accept students with lower grades. The bar chart below shows the actual UCAS tariff points of students currently on this course.

Required subjects for Music BMus Hons at The University of Manchester
AAB, including A in Music. Alternatively, we will accept AAB plus ABRSM Grade 8 Theory at Merit or above, where a candidate is not taking A-level Music. (Joint course with RNCM requires AAA including Music). Also required is Associated Board (or equivalent examinations) Grade VIII Practical, preferably at Distinction, on an instrument or voice. Typical Contextual Offer: ABB, including A in Music.        Alternatively, we will accept ABB plus ABRSM Grade 8 Theory at Merit or above, where a candidate is not taking A-level Music.
