I study zoology + it is quite niche so I understood in the 1st yr when we were grouped with other students like biology, ecology etc.. but then second year came around and I was still learning bio & eco based modules. Finally in my last year It is slightly more specialized but still not so much. I asked why we don’t have more zoology based modules for zoology students. Their reply was that it’s was due to a lack of funding/staffing. This really broke my heart to realize I wasted my money n if you can’t offer a good quality course (FOR A RUSSLE GROUP) they why even offer it? It makes me feel as though they care more for your money than for your degree. I recently complained about this to my peers who did biology, in which they ALL were surprised to discover I don’t even do the same course as them yet I am in every single one of their lectures. I feel like I don’t belong here or that im not smart enough (In college I got the highest grade and honorable mention so I know I’m capable) read more

Very mixed social university, multiple campuses with lots of choice in terms of courses and pathways. Newly refurbished library which is great, some of the lecture halls could be refreshed but lots of study and social spaces with two coffee shops and food options. read more
