clinical years feel as though there’s not much direct paid teaching, e.g no formal central clinical skills, no mock osce. best teaching is by the trusts, not the school. read more

Studying medicine at QMUL is intense but rewarding. Teaching is a mix of lectures, small groups, and early clinical exposure, so you don’t just sit in lecture halls all the time. You get placements across East London hospitals, which means you see a wide range of patients and conditions. The course is well-structured, but like most med schools the admin side can be a bit slow. There’s a strong student community, and lots of societies linked to medicine if you want to get involved. It’s definitely challenging, but you come out well-prepared for clinical practice. read more

I love love love my course so much and I think I'd be satisfied if I were paying home fees. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any undergraduate course in the world that can justify over £45k a year. read more

I love my course. A lot of work but it’s very fun. Only downside I would say is - you don’t get great feedback on work and any one to one teaching feels very rushed. Also they don’t give you back your exam at the end of the year to see where you’ve gone wrong. read more

Barts is good for medicine, the hospital is very renowned and performs novel therapies. Unfortunately, the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel is not in a nice or clean area outside but the actual hospital is modern and amazing. read more
