With tuition fees going up, the teaching has not kept up and being a degree top-up student I am not a 100% satisfied with the quality of teaching (compared to my HND program) and, therefore, value for money. The lecturers are all very passionate artists, but I feel like they try to influence the students' practice way too much to sway into the direction of their personal interests and turning down ideas they are not personally excited about, failing to see the potential. Very limited expertise among staff in Jacques LeCoq and subsequent styles of clowning (that I found), which means no one is able to substantially comment on such work, leading to lackluster feedback. The course content in third year is fun and engaging for the most part, but I don't think I can attribute it to the course program itself, because it is, for the most part, individual work on personal projects that we have chosen for ourselves - therefore it is hard to say the work we are doing wouldn't be fun and engaging read more
