Union good for nights out and studying during the day. Lots of things to get involved with — volunteering, fundraising, sports, societies, media. Lovely campus and small town. Not the best for nightlife but Nottingham and Leicester only 10 minute train and can get one in the morning if you stay up late ! Also some students walked back from Leicester and it only took 5 hours ! Really enjoyed my uni experience here read more

Overall the WiFi is pretty good but sometimes eduroam just decides it doesn’t want to work for an hour or so. Campus is amazing it’s so nice to walk around and there’s loads of facilities you can use whenever you like especially sport wise especially the gym. Careers have been great in helping me develop my CV for when I apply for my placement. The SU is the best place to be on a Wednesday night, love a good Wednesday night out (hey ewe). Also the SU has things open in the day like the pub and a bigger co op and other little coffee shop type things, societies I can’t say I’ve really been involved in but for clubs I’m in a few different sport clubs and they’re all well organised and loads of fun socially and competitively, there’s also loads of less competitive sports if you’re not that serious about competing read more

The campus is very spacious and there is always space for studying and meeting friends. There are lots of varied clubs, societies and activities too, many of which are free to join or the joining fee is reasonable for what is provided. I am a graphic design student and they recently refurbished the building we use. It's lovely, big, clean, and perfect for working and being creative in. The wifi isn't great anywhere, but it is eduroam, so that is a universal experience at any university. The student union is great, although often very busy (a sign of how good it is I suppose!). They have bubble tea, a takeaway, a co-op food, a bom bom cookies place, and a pita wraps place too - there is plenty of choice and decent nutritious options too for an emergency study-lunch. The volunteering sector there is also very good - with different welfare networks like LGBT and the Disabled Students Network. They work to make students feel included and also run very fun events for us to attend. read more

I studied at Loughborough University London for my MA. Honestly, the experience was a bit mixed. The good part is that it’s in London — so even though the campus itself is quite small and doesn’t have many facilities or student activities, you still have access to everything London offers: events, job opportunities, networking, etc. The building is modern and clean, and the classes are okay, though sometimes not very deep. The downside is that the London campus feels more like a small office than a university. It’s not super lively, and you don’t get that big uni community vibe. Also, the support and resources feel limited compared to what I expected. If you’re very independent and can make use of London on your own, it might work for you. But if you're looking for a full-on university experience, maybe not the best fit. read more
