I love that Loughborough is a campus university because everything is in one place and it creates such a close-knit community. You always bump into people you know and end up stopping to say hi, which makes it feel really friendly. There’s also loads going on socially, especially in the summer when everyone is outside playing sport, running around campus or just spending time with friends. During the heat wave all the students would sit near the fountain and play catch or have a picnic. It has a great balance of academics and student life. read more

I really like Loughborough university. It is very diverse and accessible, particularly for students that are disabled and may need extra help. The community is very friendly and the campus is huge. There is room for everyone. read more

Good campus with reasonable facilities, a wide variety of societies and sports clubs. The SU do not feel particularly relevant though i could be more informed as to what they do for us. Eduroam is used on campus, which contrary to stereotypes is generally quite reliable but the it infrastructure in general is prone to drop out with high traffic - this isnt limited only to wifi but to sites with hugh traffic such as learn. read more

Located in a small town, I didn't expect too much from the university, and maybe this is the same with other students, but I have had such a great time living in the town and going to campus for lectures, meeting up with friends, and whatever pops up to bring me back. The main student area, which is where I have stayed at, and am continuing to do so, is so close to campus, that I can go there whenever I feel like it. The facilities bring me back as they're so nice, especially the Design School with some of the nicest lecture theatres I have ever seen there. Most people will think of sports when you mention Loughborough University, and it's a highlight. There are so many different sports you can play casually with others - the beach volleyball courts are pretty fun when it gets sunny, which it does in the midlands of the UK fyi. I could say I feel somewhat sad knowing next year will be my final uni year, but it just means I have to make it a memorable one - make the most out of uni. read more
