No much communication with my personal tutor. I would have liked a little more guidance (but I never really asked). Meeting convenience was great, as you could do it over teams (if the Wi-Fi would work). Some lecturers (like anything) are better than others. Deciphering what they say and being able to stay awake can be difficult in some lectures. However, others are very engaging and give the impression that they want you to learn. read more

Only 1 week of lectures so I can't say anything with certainty. A couple lectures have been useless for me but I can't blame anyone because people come here with different abilities and they have to make sure everyone is at the same level at the end of the first year. read more

Value for money seems to be the same for most courses and unis. When it comes to content and teaching, it feels like I’m still in lockdown with all the lecture videos. Some lecturers just basically read off the slides as well sometimes but some others make it more interactive and use real life examples. As computer science is still growing, there is plenty of opportunities for jobs read more

Most of the modules are fine, however some lecturers seem slightly uninterested and 2 of my first year modules were mostly taught through PowerPoints and videos posted online with little to no actual lectures. I'm really enjoying the course so far, the lecturers clearly enjoy their respective subject areas and that allows students to be more engaged during the course of a semester. The amount of resources provided is more than adequate, although, I have personally had little to no contact with my personal tutor throughout my time at the university. The course content is really solid, laying out all of the basics and then some, making it very easy to follow - even the more difficult content. I can't comment on job prospects but I'm sure they will be setting us up for success. read more
