Polhill Park

What are the top reasons for choosing Polhill Park?

We spoke to Homes for Students to find out more:

1. It's located in vibrant Bedford, close to many fantastic amenities.
2. Roll out of bed and be in class within no time, as the accommodation is located inside the University of Bedfordshire campus.
3. The city centre is a 20-minute walk away whilst the student union bar, The Hub, restaurants and cafes are a stone's throw away. Bowhill Park and Priory Country Park make for a great walk and are also within easy reach.
4. You can skip your gym membership as there is a free on-site gym open 24/7.
5. If you are in a sociable mood, you can make use of the large common spaces, communal TV, pool table, games room, table football and table tennis.
6. During the warmer months, you can bask outside in the courtyard and outdoor area.
7. For your convenience, there is a laundry room, bike storage, all-inclusive bills, a vending machine and WiFi.

Rooms:

At Polhill Park, you have a selection of cosy studios and en-suite rooms with shared kitchens and living spaces to choose from. Stay in a studio if you prefer to have more privacy or feel a part of the community when you stay in an en-suite room.

Most helpful review

Friendly staff only when you pass by, but when it comes to solving problems, zero reliability. They are focused on the least significant problems, if you complain about something they say they will solve it but in the end, nothing. Room is ok. Walls are thin. Neighbours do not clean. Overall, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE.

Terrible experience staying here. Staff were unfriendly and continue to be unhelpful after moving out by not processing my refund. It’s been three months now and still no word about the money they owe me. They don’t take complaints seriously and fault you for mistakes they make on their end. Do not stay here, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

This student accommodation is very comfortable, clean and located directly on campus. It is very easy to get to know other students. In fact, there is a very nice common area with a Ping Pong and Pool table, as well as Tv to watch any sport events. The structure is very safe and there is always a member of staff or security during night to assist you with any issues Furthermore, a free gym membership and wi-fi is available for all students living here. The accommodation is very safe and there is always a member of staff or security during night to assist you with any issues. It is possible to reach the town centre and the majority of the grocery shops with a 20 minutes’ walk.

It's great, new and always good to live, very convient to the Campus but the security here is too tight and it feels a bit like school and a prison, otherwise it's great for what you pay for.

Good value for money and the internet is free unelss more than three devices are needed (choose carefully). The social space is limited and id often occupied but with a pool table tennis table and football table there is lots to occupy your spare time.

Liberty park is good for the social life, however this can also be a bad thing. With thin walls and ceilings it makes it hard not to hear others partying or talking or even walking. Kitchens are communal therefore everybody needs to chip in, although if you live with flat mates like mine you may find yourself living in rubbish until you clean their stuff. The flat doors are heavy and are loud when closing to which is bad if youre a light sleeper. But again the staff are nice and willing to help, so close to the uni its self is a plus, which enables you to roll out of bed and to lectures.
