Great place as it offers a range of self-contained studios as well as shared flats. Staff are friendly and rarely bother you except to do a room check once a year or if they need to check fire alarms, etc, you will always be given plenty of warning via email. On-site laundry facilities: free washing machines and low-priced, coin operated driers. Lift access to the upper level. WiFi provided, mostly good, a bit slow during wind/rain storms if you’re watching TV or working on your computer/laptop. Never used the common room but there are tables/chairs and couches. Approximate walking times to places: Garth pier 10 mins; Main Arts less than 5 mins; Pontio/Thoday 10-15 mins; Morrisons 15 mins; High St (clock tower) 5 mins, and Train Station 15-20 mins, maybe more if you have lots of luggage. Would definitely recommend Llys Meirion to mature students, especially if you want your own space and have outgrown your clubbing/partying years
