DMU has an excellent campus location, right in the city centre and close to all key amenities. The facilities are modern, with strong investment in social spaces, study areas, and technology, which makes day-to-day student life convenient. The university also offers a wide range of societies, events, and activities, creating a strong sense of community for those who get involved. On the academic side, the quality of teaching and support can vary between courses. While many lecturers are approachable and committed, communication between departments and administrative staff is sometimes slow and inconsistent. Some students feel that issues raised aren’t always handled with the urgency or seriousness they deserve, which can be frustrating. Overall, DMU provides a safe, modern, and well-connected environment with plenty of opportunities, but there is room for improvement in how student concerns and administration are managed. read more

i am on the Design Crafts course and have seen all the amazing facilities in the vijay patel building. this course and university has SO much to offer if you’re a creative student. i felt so uplifted by the tutors and workshop staff they will move heaven and earth to help you make your dreams come true within a project, and if you’re feeling stressed or down their is a brilliant mental health service within the university. not to mention the careers service which has jobs available on campus if you are in need of money i highly recommend this university read more
