I’ve lived at the iQ for 2 years and I have no complaints whatsoever. The location is incredibly convenient for students, being close to both city centre and campus. The staff are absolutely brilliant - shoutout to Chris and Ahmed, you both are fantastic and so friendly. 10/10 I would recommend to all Leicester students. Only regrets is not having lived here since 1st year!! :) read more

DMU offers a wide range of resources for students, although the challenge is often knowing where to find everything. Overall, it is a great university if you value fairness, diversity, and inclusion, and if you want to develop your creativity within an academic environment. The campus internet could use some tweaking. read more

DMU is great for some courses but then not so great for others, learning as become mainly online with heavy content being given via podcasts but overall if you can keep up with the 4 hour podcasts then it’s an alright university read more

I’ve had a positive experience studying at De Montfort University. The campus and facilities are very good, especially the library and the modern buildings, which create a really comfortable and motivating environment for studying. There’s also a wide range of clubs and societies to join, so students have plenty of opportunities to meet new people, try different activities, and get involved in university life. The Students’ Union is organised, active, and supportive, which makes a big difference to the overall student experience. One of my favourite things about DMU is the excellent careers support and advice available to students. The university provides a lot of guidance and opportunities that help students feel more prepared for their future careers. The WiFi across campus is also excellent and reliable, which is very helpful for studying and completing coursework. read more

I moved here last year and I never regretted. The staff is really nice and helpful, students as well. I also recommended this place to my friends who are about to study at the De Montfort University. Good university. Could have gotten better socialising experience if the WhatsApp freshers group admin didn't kick me out for no reason as part of an incident regarding other groups. I was not involved at all and never let back in despite him saying that external issues are not dealt with. I reported a student who made certain people feel uncomfortable and my message was ignored as well as my friends. This really makes the unuversity look bad at that online admins should be monitored. read more

Overall a great uni, lots of green space and study areas! only slight gripes are the printing services, sometimes printers are down for a while, & a few at once. Also don’t love that we have to pay for all of our own resources/printing, but that might just be coming from a poorer student perspective. read more
