Studying Automobile Engineering at the University of the West of England (UWE) has been an exciting and transformative experience. The course combines strong theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on learning, which has helped me not only understand core engineering concepts but also apply them in real automotive contexts. From studying vehicle dynamics and engine systems to working with CAD software and participating in workshops, this course pushes me to think critically and solve real engineering problems. The lecturers are knowledgeable and supportive, and the coursework encourages collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement—skills that are essential in the automotive industry. Although the workload can be challenging, it has strengthened my ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and in teams. Overall, this course has deepened my passion for automobile engineering and equipped me with the technical understanding and practical skills read more

If anyone knows how to kill interest in THE most sought after career in the world its UWE Bristol. The course in a complete shambles, with every module being its own seperate contained shpiel of assorted researchers who dont want to be teaching. The uni tells us that the BRL is so advanced and amazing, but you cant go in there or talk to anyone!! All modules assume a semi decent experience in electric engineering even though only maths is a requirement when signing up. Projects all rely on groups with very poor ways of marking individual contributions in said groups. Unhelpful "information handbooks" and a Byzantine labyrinth of a uni work webpage. I would recommend you talk to homeless men about robots than most of the lecturers. If you think "hey at least ill get career prospects" let me say this. If an emplyer has robots that have electrical faults, they will hire an electrical engineer. Same with mechanical faults. oh and did i mention, you dont get to build a robot until your diss read more
