Sociology, BA Hons FullTime

The lectures had absolutely nothing to do with the assignments given, teachers were too far up there own arse to care about any students and didn’t offer any guidance on the tasks set, instead lied about the marking system. For instance, the most infuriating was when I had to do a presentation, a fellow student asked if there was a certain dress code, to which the answer was no, yet I got marked down for wearing a coat, an absolute shambles of teaching and university wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Any student who has the unfortunate task of studying here will end up with depression like I did read more

Sociology, BA Hons FullTime

This course has been really hard to review due to the extremities within the differences dependent on the lecturer you receive. 2 are brilliant, will provide all the information required (as well as extra) and you only have to ask for help/more information and they will provide this for you. Perfect powerpoints each lecture and are always available on the day, if not before. Others cannot string 2 academic sentences together, provide limited information for assignments until 1/2 week before. Unorganised, rushed, lazy. Not good value for £9,500 a year! Personally, I do not think job prospects improve from doing this course. It is a good stepping stone for a Masters and then a PHD but the careers recommended are HR, social work etc and I do not think this is any different from college A level prospects. read more
