AVOID this company. They unreasonably cancelled my legally binding tenancy agreement despite my booking being fully completed — deposit paid, guarantor approved, and my portal showing everything as "completed." When I asked them to point to the specific clause in the contract that permitted them to cancel under these circumstances, they failed to provide one. To make matters worse, I was told my deposit had been refunded. It never was, and they failed to provide any receipt or evidence of the refund when I asked. If you're considering booking with this company, be aware that their communication and cancellation processes are seriously unreliable. You could lose your accommodation, and be left facing homelessness, with almost no real warning. read more

Accommodation Getting settled was straightforward thanks to the first-year accommodation guarantee for international students. The rooms are practical and well-maintained, with most offering shared kitchen facilities (though there are studio options over at Manor Park). Having personal belongings insurance and Wi-Fi included in the rent takes a lot of the stress out of moving to a new country. Studies The academic environment is rigorous but incredibly rewarding. The MSc Cybersecurity program strikes a great balance between theoretical concepts and hands-on, practical application. The faculty support is a major standout — my personal academic tutor, Dragan, has been consistently accessible and genuinely invested in my progress. The program structure gives you the freedom to explore cutting-edge topics, which has been invaluable while working on my dissertation regarding adversarial attacks on large language models. The campus is modern, well-maintained, and offers excellent facilities for both studying and relaxing. Everything is easily accessible and creates a fantastic environment for student life. There is a wide variety of clubs and societies to get involved in, making it easy to meet new people while exploring new interests and hobbies. The Students' Union is welcoming, well-organised, and plays a huge role in student life by providing support, hosting events, and creating a real sense of community. The careers team is incredibly helpful and provides excellent support with placements, CVs, applications, interviews, and preparing for graduate careers. As a student at University of Surrey, I have had a positive experience overall. The university offers a wide range of clubs and societies, and students are generally friendly and willing to help one another. There are many activities organised throughout the semester, giving students plenty of opportunities to get involved, meet new people, and develop new skills. The university also arranges both local and international trips. The nearby trips are usually affordable and well worth attending, while international trips provide exciting opportunities to explore different countries and cultures. In addition, there are many societies that showcase different cultures and traditions, and anyone is welcome to join regardless of their background. The support available to students is another great aspect of the university. If students need someone to talk to, services such as Nightline and the Surrey Hive support teams are available to provide guidance and assistance. read more

Surrey Uni is a wonderful place to study and meet with friends, the overall campus has loads of activities and places to study. The only problem I had was sometimes the Wi-Fi would not be strong enough for anything other than studying but this was not always the case. read more

The campus is really scenic and well organised - it just makes sense. I love the lake, it genuinely feels like a big garden. The library is good and there are 24-hour study spaces which is really useful. It's a safe campus, though a bit more lighting in some areas would help because it can feel a bit scary when it gets dark. There's a great range of clubs and societies to suit everyone, and the Students' Union is amazing - so many initiatives, programmes, and schemes. I'm really grateful for everything they do. And when it comes to careers, placements, programmes and events - Surrey genuinely goes above and beyond. It really does. read more

University of Surrey is a perfect choice for those looking for a high-ranking university with great academic standards. My favorite part is the location—Guildford is peaceful and safe, yet only 30 minutes from London by train. It offers the best of both worlds. In terms of value, the cost of living and accommodation is much more affordable compared to London, with plenty of options to suit your budget. The campus is very international and diverse, which makes for a great cultural experience. With a wide range of courses available, I highly recommend Surrey to anyone! read more
