I like the courses and verity, the lectures make sure everyone knows the basics of the software or stuff you'd be using, thought sometimes go to fast and might be experienced compared to everyone Else, this leads to alot of complaints I've heard read more

I'm studying a Concept Art course, and can say that it should be higher in the tier list of universities for that. The student works here are amazing, it's hard to believe that they're not industry professionals. The assignments are challenging, so experienced artists will still have a good bit of useful struggle, while upcoming artists will receive a lot of support from teachers and mentors. The university often hosts career fairs with a lot of good studios (last one featured EA recruiters, for example) and does a good focus on ensuring that students will get relevant jobs, not just any kind of job - their ratings are not inflated using this trick. There's a lot of societies, and they host fairs too! So you will be able to get familiar with them before commiting to join one. read more

My experience at the University of Staffordshire has been extremely disappointing. I learned that things many students take for granted—such as reliable heating, internet access, and adequate university support—were often lacking. Throughout my studies, a number of issues negatively affected both my student experience and academic performance. Poor IT services, limited support from the Students' Union, and a very poor social environment all contributed to a difficult experience. I believe these problems impacted my learning and, ultimately, my grades. During my degree, more than half of my modules were cancelled, my placement year was cancelled, and there appeared to be little investment in enhancing the student learning experience. Whenever I raised complaints or concerns, they were largely ignored or dismissed by the university. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend considering other universities before choosing to study here. read more

My first year studying Esports at Staffordshire University has been a really enjoyable and interesting experience. The course covers a wide range of topics, including esports business, event production, marketing, streaming, and the gaming industry as a whole, which makes it feel modern and relevant. The lecturers are supportive and clearly passionate about esports, and they encourage students to get involved in practical work rather than only focusing on theory. I especially enjoyed the hands-on projects and opportunities to work with other students during events and productions. The university facilities are also impressive, with dedicated esports spaces, gaming equipment, and good study areas. The course gives students the chance to build teamwork, communication, and technical skills that are useful both inside and outside the gaming industry. One of the best parts of first year was meeting people with similar interests and becoming part of a friendly community. read more
