Studying the MSc in Reproductive and Developmental Medicine has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned in-depth science behind fertility, embryology, pregnancy, and developmental disorders, and I’ve gotten hands-on experience through lab work and real-world case discussions. My lecturers are active researchers, so we’re always exposed to the latest advances in reproductive technology, IVF, and clinical practice. The course is fast-paced, but the support from staff and classmates makes a huge difference. I’ve developed stronger research skills through my dissertation project, and it’s helped me see where I might fit in — whether in clinical embryology, fertility treatment, or further academic research. I love medicine at the university of Sheffield. The lectures are generally very informative and interesting, however you do get the occasional lecture which you might find pointless or not necessary. The lecturers are very helpful and are always giving plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and are very approachable.
