I have had great support from my personal tutor throughout my duration of my course and do not know what I would have done without them! I really have a lot of respect for my teachers too as my lectures and seminars are always organised well and I feel I can ask them anything I need to. My only issue derives from online learning that I faced in my first year as it was not conducted efficiently and did not work well for certain core modules. However, I feel confident as a final year student about finding a graduate job due to the support of my tutor and my personal achievements and overall growth of confidence since joining the university.

The hall management looks down on students and are not very friendly. The staff of the dining room is quite friendly, especially the ladies who always try to make sure that the hungry students get what they need. The quality of the food is not that great, especially the vegetables. They have a lot of desserts, over 7 choices of donuts and other fatty things. Wish they spend more money on proper vegetables and cook them well. The pantries on the floors are comparable with just a plain table and a smallest microwave ever. Every floor is carpeted and they don't clean the carpet very often. It's feels like a prison, because they also claim to do room checks and already assume that we violate their rules. I do not recommend this hall. read more

Law with Criminology, LLB Hons FullTime

My tutor was an amazing lady, she helped me with any and all issues I had and was there every step of the way. The criminology course wasn’t well taught in my opinion, and I know lots of other students who agree with me. It was difficult to learn due to this, and feedback felt like I was being told off rather than taught how to improve. Overall other lecturers were brilliant. read more

Law with Criminology, LLB Hons FullTime

I absolutely love studying law and find that my personal tutor along with a few other lecturers can not do enough to support me not just academically but personally. I have a few lecturers who care more about my mental health and well-being than grades, which is a breath of fresh air and makes me feel truly valued. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be much communication between the Law and Criminology departments which makes it difficult to do a combined degree, and therefore I would recommend doing one or the other . read more
