All lecturers are intelligent and engaging, as well as being eager to help and invested in each student’s academic development. As a student I feel valued, respected and challenged to grow as a learner. There is so much guidance and support from various places, be it for your personal well-being, academic pursuits, or your future. All modules, even ones I was first hesitant about, are relevant and will give you transferable skills that are useful in any career path. read more

Only issue is with some of the compulsory modules in first and second year not being very palaeontology related (because they are shared with other courses). For starters most of first year is spent learning stuff that is not gonna be needed again like electromagneticism and the makeup of other planets. The second year module not very palaeontology related is Professional Skills for Palaeontologists which is more of a general careers advice module read more

Palaeontology, BSc Hons FullTime

I think that the quality of some lecturers teaching methods should be improved. This is a commonly held belief within the different classes. While they are all very friendly and helpful, lectures can sometimes be boring, uninteresting and often they are not about the course or even the subject. read more
