Joining this university has been a bit of a rollercoaster. While it is great that the city is a seafront and the university staff are very helpful, there is a limit to how valuable portsmouth university can be. First of all, because of the city's location, there is a shortage of jobs here, which makes finding a part-time job that much harder. Secondly, coming from India, there is a huge cultural shift that international students experience after coming here regarding everything. For the reasons listed above, I would not recommend the university to anyone who is not strong-willed, already experienced, and/or has a concrete plan of their career progression. read more
