Amazing course. Only in my second year, but this course has made me step out of my comfort zone and are teaching me a lot of things that i wouldnt have been able to understand on my own. The facilities are incredible, i love all the traditional print studios, theyre unique and have a lot of great equipement and veey skilled technicians! All of my tutors are truly great too, very supportive and encourage a lot of independent and group work, how to work in collaboration with others etc. Such a good course with many skills to be learnt from by it! read more

So far, my experience on the Photography course at the University of Plymouth has been really positive. We’ve learned a lot about early photographic methods and are regularly challenged to explore different styles and briefs, which has helped me grow creatively. The feedback we get on our work is really helpful and has made a big difference in improving our photography. The course is small, which was one of the main reasons I chose it, and it’s a huge benefit - you get more one-to-one support and guidance from tutors, and it’s easy to get to know everyone, which makes the course feel more like a community. The teaching is excellent, and there’s usually someone around to ask questions or get advice. The only downside so far is that there are a few staff available, and it sometimes feels like the department doesn’t have as much funding or resources as it might have done in the past. Even so, it’s still a great course with supportive teaching and plenty of opportunities. read more
