Plymouth University has a welcoming environment and all the facilities there are brilliant. I couldn’t recommend it more to anyone. The only issue I can think of is that the clubs at the moment are struggling due to a decrease in funding from the student Union. This however is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things and I’m sure will improve in the coming years. read more

As a third-year student midwife at the University of Plymouth, I’ve had a largely positive experience throughout my time here. The campus is well-equipped, and while I haven’t had much time to engage with clubs, societies, or SU activities due to the demands of my degree, it’s clear there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved. The careers service has been helpful and responsive, offering relevant support as I prepare for life after graduation. Internet access has generally been reliable and sufficient for my study needs. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience, with good support available—even if my course has limited my ability to take full advantage of everything on offer. I do think hot water should be free to students, though! And a wider availability of water fountains/fill-ups and cutlery as it is often quite a walk to source these. read more

Discovery heights is in the perfect location just across the road from Plymouth university. All the staff are really helpful and will cater to any individual needs you may have. Casey the receptionist is so friendly and always manages to put a smile on your face especially after a stressful day at university. Janet the housekeeper is also super friendly and always makes sure to say hello whenever she sees you. All the accommodation staff celebrate holidays and go above and beyond for celebrations like Christmas and valentines which is the perfect way to make new friends.
