Is of course an excellent uni with great facilities, however the accomodation is slightly worse than other unis may offer as it is generally very old. That being said, my accomodation is very cheap -ÂŁ4500 a year! Clubs and societies are excellent - they have every club you could ever want to join. Student union is nothing notable. Careers service is excellent and there are so many opportunities constantly - just this morning I joined a webinar for AI and consulting! Internet is standard eduroam - sometimes slow but typically good enough for working. read more

Oxford is very Overwhelming. The work load is condensed into just 24 weeks of the year and tutorials are limited. Many of the students at Oxford are quite pretentious or performative and it's easy to suffer from imposter syndrome. This can make for a lonely and frightening experience. Colleges try to overcome this through Fresher's Week events, presentations and posters informing students of the support available. However, this is all rather artificial and assumes that students already know how to make friends as an adult, how to figure out what they enjoy doing and have the courage to ask for help. This is a problem with universities generally and society as a whole, but it says a lot when even an institution as highly-esteemed as Oxford can't offer solutions here. Communities exist to help students who feel lost, such as societies for neurodiverse students, but these tend to be victimising rather than empowering. We need an environment where people can fearlessly be themselves. read more
