Perhaps the Career Service and Student Union are more active and better organised for Bachelor’s students, especially when it comes to social activities. However, I would also expect the same level of attention and support to be given to PhD students. Since I work at Glenfield, I sometimes feel a little disconnected from the university community. I’m not really aware of whether the Student Union organises activities specifically for PhD students, or whether the Career Service has arranged any sessions or meetings for us. If these opportunities are available, I think they could be communicated to PhD students more effectively. That being said, I’m very happy with the facilities, and I really enjoy the training workshops. I also find myself enjoying the campus more and more whenever I visit, and I like spending time there. read more

University of Leicester is great there many places available to get on with assignments. They also offer a lot of support when needed. I love that they have specific support areas for specific issues rather than having them all lumped together. They are also very informative. The University of Leicester provides a welcoming and supportive environment for international students. The teaching quality is strong, the campus is diverse, and the city offers a lower cost of living than many other UK destinations. Students benefit from good academic support, career services, and opportunities to build practical skills. As an international student, I was nervous about moving to the UK, but the University of Leicester made me feel welcome from day one. Everyone is treated equally, regardless of their background, which helped me settle in quickly. The lecturers are friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. The labs are well organised and give us valuable practical experience alongside our lectures. My faculty and academic mentors have been supportive whenever I needed help with assignments or coursework. The Students’ Union organises great events, cultural activities, and workshops, making it easy to meet new people and feel part of the community. They also provide excellent support for international students. The library is one of my favourite places on campus because it’s peaceful, comfortable, and perfect for studying. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience and would definitely recommend the University of Leicester to anyone looking for a supportive and welcoming university. read more
