I was not sure what to expect, but I love it here. I am studying Mental Health Nursing and the course is interesting and challenging in a good way, and the lecturers genuinely care. I have learned how to research properly, which has boosted my confidence a lot. I had been away from school for a long time, but I feel comfortable here and have settled in well. Student life is way better than I thought. I recommend 100% to anyone thinking of coming here. read more

The University of Lancashire has been very welcoming and supportive throughout the start of term. As a Muslim, they are very inclusive. There are multiple prayer rooms all around campus including an Oasis multi faith centre! Other than the Wi-Fi being a bit unreliable, the course is very well structured. Even though we have been thrown into the deep end a little bit they’ve helped us adjust and get used to the fast paced university student life! The lecturers are really nice and accommodating and the resources available are fantastic. read more

I am returning to the University of Lancashire for my doctorate after 17 years, and trust me, the experience I had with this university back in 2009 has improved tenfold. The faculty is great, the campus is beautiful, and most importantly, Preston city is like a home away from home, with everything you need as a student close at hand. It’s only been a week and a half, but it already feels like a whole new chapter. Settling in hasn’t been perfect,finding my way around campus, getting used to the timetable, and figuring out workshops and lanyards has taken a minute,but it’s been exciting too. I’m still getting to grips with Law with Criminology, and honestly I’m still figuring out exactly what path I want to take, but that’s part of the journey,I am meeting new people, learning how everything works, and taking it one day at a time.
