The university campus is designed very well on an open plan which makes it easy to navigate around facilities and everything is in close proximity. The layout also make a the campus feel safe and enclosed for students. The societies are always active with events to take part in all the time and there is always new and exciting things going on, definitely something for everyone. My course is based on the Burnley campus but I chose to live on preston campus and commute from there to have access to wider variety of facilities and social life. read more

The university has some excellent teachers and academic coaches who are genuinely helpful and make a real difference to the student experience. However, I feel that administrative support needs significant improvement, particularly in admissions, communication, explaining academic pathways, and financial support such as bursaries and hardship funding. I experienced considerable difficulties during the admissions process, which took a long time and affected my opportunities. I also believe that staff working in student services, the Student Centre and telephone support need regular training in communication, empathy, professional behaviour and supporting students with different learning and cognitive needs. Students come from diverse backgrounds and face different personal circumstances, stress and financial pressures. Staff need to understand that people may process information differently or struggle to communicate their problems. read more

Easy application into the uni especially as a student who applied through clearing and large range of support and easy access to entire campus. Plenty of great food places nearby and great since train station is only a 5-10 minute walk read more
