Linguistics, BA Hons FullTime

The tuition fees are quite expensive, especially for international students. Although I think the course offers valuable learning opportunities, the cost can be a significant burden for international students. Overall, the teaching quality is good. Most lecturers are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. However, the quality of classes can vary. Some lectures can be quite boring, particularly those where lecturers mainly read through the slides without much additional explanation or interaction. The experience depends on the individual tutor, but my personal tutor has been supportive and willing to listen to my concerns. It is reassuring to have someone who takes the time to understand students' situations The course content is very interesting and covers a wide range of topics related to linguistics. I particularly enjoy learning about how language works from different perspectives. read more

It’s a great course that’s sadly being heavily impacted by the current financial situation, but, overall, great course, great lecturers, and hopefully it will stay that way even with the economic difficulties. read more

It's creative writing - No-one is doing it for the money! The only prospects are the ones we make for ourselves. I might start a zine or something. Also, a note for this site: I am doing my MA and MAs don't appear to be listed? read more
