I really enjoy studying at the University of Essex. The campus is green and peaceful, and there are lots of places to study, eat and meet friends. The lecturers are generally friendly and supportive, and the university offers good help with wellbeing, careers and academic work. I also like the diversity of the students and the many societies and events, so it is easy to feel part of a community. The main downside is that the campus is a bit far from Colchester town centre, and accommodation and food can be expensive. Overall, I would recommend Essex to students looking for a friendly, inclusive campus university with plenty of opportunities to get involved. read more

The struggle with every careers service is the lack of jobs and sheer number of people looking for work - we all have rent to pay and food to forage. Some attempt at helping is better than none, though. So it's nothing to sniff at. read more

Overall, my experience at the University of Essex has been positive. I appreciate the supportive learning environment and the variety of opportunities available to students, including career development, workshops and entrepreneurship programmes. I particularly value the university's efforts to help students develop skills beyond their academic studies. One area that could be improved is communication, especially regarding event schedules and important updates. Providing clearer and more consistent information would help students plan their time more effectively. Overall, I am happy with the opportunities Essex provides and look forward to making the most of my time at the university. read more
