I enjoy attending SUmakes that happen weekly as it gives me a chance to pass time as an international student. I often will study in greenhouse as it is a very calming setting to be in during stressful time. The Essex business center is also one of my favourite places because of the greenery. read more

There are many student societies to join to meet new friends. The student union is very supportive and helpful. Here at Hythe, I have truly never felt more at home. I joined in first year and it felt both daunting and exciting; being in a new city and trying settle into a new home, but the people and the staff here made settling in super easy. I studied a lot better here due to the open spaces and motivation from other students. Most importantly, due to the support of students and staff, I was able to come out of my shell a lot more during a very difficult time of my personal life during my stay. I have never felt more supported and seen and I would 100% recommend staying here. All issues are handled extremely quickly by the staff and the view is in my room is beautiful. I have really enjoyed my time at Hythe and will continue to stay here because it truly made me feel at home and I think that’s what the university experience is all about read more
