German and Politics, MA Hons FullTime

Courses are a mix of good and bad to be honest. A lot of the German course feels a bit pointless. Haven't learnt much and will be switching my degree for next year read more

Loved the course, the year abroad was e superb experience. I had a lot of opportunities to combine knowledge from my 2 specialties. The administrative staff was excellent, and lectures are passionate about their work- they do, however, at times seem to be unorganised read more

Celtic, MA Hons FullTime

Have had an excellent year of research, supervised by leading experts in my field in a department with a strong collegiate culture and lots going on outside of lectures. My only reservations would be that as with all Edinburgh Masters it's pricey, but that's not the fault of the department. I'd also point out it's a very specialized area of study, but if you're reading this review you should probably know that by now. read more

Great course: my Lit lecturers were wonderful, so enthusiastic and funny, whilst my German teacher got me from no ability at all to a very advanced level of understanding. Can't wait for Year 2! read more

Japanese, MA Hons FullTime

I was suffering with a lot of serious mental health issues during first and second year, and teachers did what they could to support me. I managed to pass all of my exams thanks to their understanding and flexibility, which enabled me to do what I could when I could in order to keep up in a way which suited me. read more
