Studying at UEL has been a pleasant experience. The location is very scenic and isn't far from London City Airport and the O2 which can be seen from the Dockside which in my opinion is the heart of East London. With DLR connecting to other points of the East such as Westfield Stratford, ExCeL and Canary Wharf for lunch breaks and shopping in no more than 30 minutes. Not only that they're facilities on campus such as the university's gym, Sportsdock. There are also facilities that help with my ADT course which has helped me whilst learning about architecture leading to understanding what I want to do in the working environment plus my profession after graduating. This also includes elements like the mental wealth module in my course as part of the career support the university has provided me to strive in my future goals. It's the reason why I applied to this university because they take profession and job opportunities very seriously. Another great thing about the university is the com read more

My experience at UEL has honestly been the best part of my university journey so far. The location is simply amazing; I never get tired of it, especially in the winter when the sunsets are so breathtaking, being right by the riverside with those captivating views of the Thames and the runway of London City Airport. The connectivity to the rest of London is excellent, with easy access to Canary Wharf, the O2, and everywhere else you'd want to go, though I'll admit that DLR closures on weekends can be inconvenient - thankfully, replacement buses keep us connected! The accommodations here are fantastic, with stunning riverside views, and there's something truly special about watching planes take off while studying. Being an ambassador has given me tremendous confidence in communicating with prospective students and their families, skills that I know will be extremely useful in my future career. The people here are truly lovely, from fellow students to staff, and the campus has a welcoming read more

Studying at UEL has been such a rewarding journey. From day one, the Career Zone supported me with amazing opportunities from the Dishoom Diversity Thought Program that led to my first paid internship, to another internship through ELBA at AXA XL, plus part-time roles like Gymshark and now in the University Hub. Being a Student Ambassador was life-changing, helping me grow from an introvert to someone confident, able to lead, and inspire others during open days and summer schools. UEL’s diverse and welcoming community has truly given me a sense of belonging, and with one final year left, I’m excited for what’s still to come! read more

I started at UEL with a foundation year at Docklands, and honestly, I have such fond memories of that time. I used to spend my breaks sitting by the riverside, watching the planes from City Airport and just taking it all in. it was such a peaceful spot, and it made the campus feel really special. Now I’m in my final year of Biomedical Sciences, and I’m so glad I chose this course. It’s IBMS accredited, which means I can apply for HCPC registration and actually work as a biomedical scientist in the NHS, that’s a huge step toward my career goals. The labs are amazing, and the lecturers genuinely care and support you. I’ve also had loads of help from the Career Zone and the Mental Wealth modules, which gave me confidence and helped me figure out what I want to do next. Being a Student Ambassador has been such a fun part of my uni life. I’ve met so many people, improved my public speaking, and it’s made me feel more connected to the uni. read more

My time at UEL has been amazing, especially because of the location. The Docklands campus is right by the water, and I loved taking a full circle walk around the Thames—it was such a beautiful sight. Being close to Canary Wharf, the O2, and Westfield Stratford means I can easily relax with friends on weekends while staying connected to the city. It really makes balancing studies and life in London so much easier. read more
