At UEL, I was studying for a degree in Adult Nursing. At first, the experience was exciting, and I was looking forward to learning a lot from my teachers and gaining hands-on experience in clinical settings. The initial weeks were full of anticipation and curiosity as I began to understand the academic and practical expectations of the course. As the program progressed, I learned not only about nursing theory and clinical skills but also about the importance of communication, teamwork, and resilience in healthcare. There were challenges along the way balancing coursework, placements, and personal responsibilities but these experiences helped me grow both professionally and personally. Overall, studying Adult Nursing at UEL gave me a strong foundation in patient care and a deeper understanding of the values and ethics essential to the nursing profession. read more

As an international student at UEL, my experience has been mostly positive. The campus is outstanding with modern, state-of-the-art facilities that make both studying and leisure enjoyable. There are plenty of clubs and societies available, all well-organized and welcoming, which really helps with making friends and feeling part of the community. The Students Union is acceptable but doesn’t offer much that stands out or feels special. However, the careers service is generally helpful with good communication, providing useful support for students planning their next steps after graduation. One of the highlights has been the internet and Wi-Fi, which have been reliable and fast throughout my time here, supporting both academic work and entertainment without issues. Overall, UEL is a great place to study with excellent facilities and supportive services, though there is some room for improvement in the Students Union experience. read more

As an international student, my impression of the University of East London’s Docklands campus is largely positive. The campus is modern, well-equipped, and situated in a scenic waterfront location with excellent transport links (DLR, Elizabeth Line, etc.) that make it relatively easy to commute across London. The facilities are strong — there is a 24/7 library, specialist labs, media studios, a large sports centre (SportsDock), as well as good student support and welfare services. Accommodation on campus is affordable compared to many private options, with amenities included and support from the Residential Life team. On the downside, like many urban universities, there are challenges: living costs in London are high, facilities (especially library/study space) can get crowded, especially during exam times, and some students read more
