My experience at the University of East London has been both personally and professionally rewarding. Coming from a technical and operations leadership background with few years of industry experience, returning to student life in a new country was a significant transition. The university has provided me with opportunities not only to develop my HR knowledge but also to build confidence in navigating the UK professional environment. One aspect I have particularly valued is the exposure to mentoring programmes, networking events, volunteering opportunities, and interactions with professionals from different industries. These experiences have helped me connect my previous leadership experience with my long-term goal of building a career in Human Resources. The MSc Human Resource Management programme has strengthened my understanding of people management, organisational behaviour, and strategic HR practices while encouraging me to think critically about how HR can positively impact. read more

My experience at the University of East London is shaped by evening lectures at University Square Stratford and my preference for the Docklands campus. Stratford is always busy, especially around Stratford station, so even in the evenings there’s constant movement and noise, which can help you stay alert but also makes it harder to focus after a long day. The teaching is practical and lecturers are approachable, but your progress depends on your own discipline, especially with evening classes. What stands out most is the diversity—students from different countries bring different perspectives, making learning more interesting and real. Even though I study in Stratford, I prefer Docklands because of its calm waterfront environment, where you can watch planes taking off from London City Airport with city lights reflecting on the water, giving a sense of peace that balances the busy city atmosphere. read more
