Whilst I haven’t experienced societies of the SU quite yet, they have both been highly praised by other students aswell as lecturers, but overall the university is a great place to study with libraries, study blocks so you can study alone, all the way to shops to purchase snacks whilst studying. read more

I’ve really enjoyed my experience at the University of Derby so far. As a mature student starting university for the first time, I was understandably quite nervous about coming here, but I’ve felt really supported and welcomed. The staff have been approachable, understanding and genuinely willing to help, which has made such a difference to settling into university life. I also really appreciate the support available for students with additional learning needs, as it has helped me feel more confident about starting my degree. I’m studying Mental Health Nursing and I’m really excited about what the course has ahead. There’s a good balance between learning the theory and preparing for the realities of working in nursing, and I already feel like I’m working towards something I’m genuinely passionate about. The campus has a really nice atmosphere, and there are lots of opportunities to get involved beyond your course, from societies and activities to events and wellbeing support. read more

I feel campus facilities are good however there are things that dont work such as id scanners and arent fixed or doors at markeaton campus the wifi is also hard to access for the first time however social life and careers advice is good. read more
