I’ve had issues with a couple of lecturers in terms of marking. There are no mark schemes so as a student you don’t know how you’re being marked. A coursemate of mine got 67.5% in a maths paper and didn’t get a question wrong. Another lecturer only marks the end answer so in the exam you can loose ten marks by doing all the correct working but not writing the answer correctly or you could get the answer right and not get the working correct and loose 5. 25% of one of the assignments was for presentation and worse still is that a coursemate of mine realised he’d got some sketch graphs wrong and therefore redid them hastily without a ruler. This caused him to loose 10 marks in presentation meaning if he’d just submitted the wrong answers, he would have been better off as the question was worth 3 marks. read more
