I stayed here for the 2025–26 academic year and overall had a really positive experience. The accommodation offers a good balance between comfort, location, and student lifestyle, making it a solid option for anyone moving away for uni. One of the biggest advantages is the location. It’s within a convenient distance of campus and close to shops, takeaways, and transport links, which made day-to-day life a lot easier. The building itself feels secure, with controlled access and a reassuring presence of staff when needed. Noise can vary depending on who you live with, and occasionally communal areas could be cleaner. But that largely comes down to the people sharing the space rather than the accommodation itself. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to students, particularly first-years or anyone looking for a sociable and convenient living environment. read more

I’m absolutely loving my MSci Adult and Child Nursing course at the University of Derby. The university itself is amazing and genuinely feels like a supportive community. Everyone I’ve met, from students to staff, is so friendly, approachable, and always willing to help, which makes a huge difference. I feel very safe on campus and well supported throughout my studies. The lecturers are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they teach, and they’re always happy to help, especially if I email them with questions or concerns.
