Derby has been a great place to study for the past 3 years, all the staff are welcoming and friendly. The clubs are brilliant, offering every major sport to different levels of abilities! There was always a place to study, whether it be in the new Cavendish building or the main campus. The careers office are always emailing options for jobs. As well as my lecturers, so they are always trying to help even after we have finished uni. read more

I stayed here for the 2025–26 academic year and overall had a really positive experience. The accommodation offers a good balance between comfort, location, and student lifestyle, making it a solid option for anyone moving away for uni. One of the biggest advantages is the location. It’s within a convenient distance of campus and close to shops, takeaways, and transport links, which made day-to-day life a lot easier. The building itself feels secure, with controlled access and a reassuring presence of staff when needed. Noise can vary depending on who you live with, and occasionally communal areas could be cleaner. But that largely comes down to the people sharing the space rather than the accommodation itself. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to students, particularly first-years or anyone looking for a sociable and convenient living environment. read more
