Clubs and societies were hit or miss. There were loads to choose from, which was great, but some were way more active than others. It really depended on who was running them that year. I tried a couple and had fun but it wasn’t a huge part of my uni life. Careers service was better than I expected. They had useful workshops and the CV feedback I got was genuinely helpful. I used them for interview prep once and it gave me a real confidence boost. Worth checking out earlier than your final year, something I wish I’d done. read more
