Philosophy, BA Hons FullTime

Philosophy has been a great course that I have really enjoyed so far. All the academics are really helpful and provide office hours as well as seminars in which you can clarify course content and get any needed help on essays. The content has been very interesting, and I have really enjoyed being able to specialise more in second year with 100% choice in module options. I am currently studying sex ethics in philosophy, climate & environmental ethics, and feminist philosophy. read more

Paying 9 grand a year for 5 lectures a week does not seem good enough. They didn't care about attendance or well being of students at all and the lectures seemed poorly organised most of the time. read more

Philosophy, BA Hons FullTime

The teaching content and the way it is taught in this uni is absolutely amazing. I only gave value for money 2 stars because if you do the calculation you end up paying £58 for each lecture but that is not the uni's fault. read more

Philosophy, Religion and Ethics, BA Hons FullTime

I am a mature distance learning student, completing my MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. The online platform is easy to use and the digital library is expansive. All staff have been easy to contact when I need any support, including IT, Finance, Admin, my personal tutor and teaching staff. I have been assigned a mentor to help me stay connected with university life and the Philosophy department. The modules are contemporary, as are the course materials. The student cohort is diverse and we all connect to the course flexibly, from different time zones. I receive a weekly events newsletter which has plenty of options for attending online webinars and socials. Feedback on assessed work does take 15 working days, which feels like a long time, but once it arrives it is extremely detailed and personalised, so it is worth the wait. I feel as though I am receiving excellent training in core philosophical skills of critical thinking, argumentation and academic writing. read more
