Required subjects for Natural Sciences with professional placement or study abroad BSc Hons at University of Bath
Typical offer:
A*AA in three A levels including one of the following combinations of subjects:
- Biology and Chemistry
- Chemistry and Mathematics
- Biology, Mathematics and Physics
- Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
Which subjects you have studied at A level will determine which subjects you can choose to study during your degree. If you study A Level Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics you will be able to choose any of the valid combinations.
Contextual offer:
AAB in three A levels including A in each subject from one of the following combinations:
- A in Biology and A in Chemistry
- A in Chemistry and A in Mathematics
- B in Biology, A in Mathematics and A in Physics
- B in Chemistry, A in Mathematics and A in Physics.
If you study at least one valid combination requiring Physics you will only be considered for the Physics combinations. If you study Biology and do not study Physics you will only be considered for the Biology and Chemistry combination.

ABSOLUTE WORST ACCOMMODATION IN BATH — PULTENEY COURT IS A DISGRACE (0/5) Pulteney Court is, without exaggeration, the worst student accommodation I have ever experienced in my life. There is nothing acceptable about this place. It is a complete failure on every level — comfort, functionality, cleanliness, privacy, maintenance, and basic human living conditions. I regret ever stepping foot into this building. THE ROOMS: UNLIVABLE The bed is so narrow and uncomfortable that sleeping becomes a physical chore. I wake up multiple times every night because the bed is simply too small for any adult to sleep on. The mattress feels cheap, thin, and unsupportive. There is no rest here — only exhaustion. The curtains do not block light at all. They are essentially decorative pieces of fabric that serve zero purpose. Every morning I am blasted awake by sunlight because the accommodation refuses to provide proper blackout curtains. I have never experienced sleep issues in my life until I lived read more

University has amazing facilities, numerous study spaces for groups of different numbers and single spaces as well. It has a range of food spaces and often hosts street food stalls too. It also has good academic facilities for each course offered. read more

Good uni. Huge variety of sports and societies to choose from. Groups look relatively cheep at first glance but a £35 sports pass must be bought to join any sports club on top of £10 membership fees, training costs and any equipment making it hard to get involved with what's on offer. Accom is nice and issues are fixed quickly. There's always something to get involved with (even outside of clubs) if you look for them which is great. Library is nice. Water refills all around campus are handy. Internet is really hard to get onto, but once sorted, it's great all over campus. Most food outlets on campus close at 3 or 4pm which is a shame if you want a coffee or snack before an evening lecture. read more
