Studying at the University of Aberdeen has been a truly rewarding experience. The university provides an excellent learning environment with knowledgeable and supportive lecturers who are always willing to help students succeed. The campus is beautiful, well-maintained, and has excellent facilities, including modern libraries, study spaces, and laboratories. The university also offers a wide range of academic and career support services, making students feel welcomed and supported throughout their studies. I have especially appreciated the diverse and inclusive community, where I have had the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. It has been a great place to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships. Overall, I would highly recommend the University of Aberdeen to anyone looking for a high-quality education in a friendly and supportive environment. I am grateful for the knowledge, experiences, and opportunities I have gained during my time here. read more

My experience with the Computing Science department has been genuinely disappointing. Feedback is vague, and lecture materials and assignment instructions are rarely delivered clearly. It's not just me the university's ranking has been dropping significantly in the last decade, and Aberdeen has been in serious financial trouble, which shows in how inconsistent the teaching has become. Worst of all: I formally requested clarification in writing about an assignment from one lecturer and was told I needed no extra information, everything was in the assignment file. I completed the work as instructed. I was then told additional instructions had supposedly been given verbally in class — contradicting what I'd been told in writing — and got a zero mark for not following them. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere that actually respects its students. read more

I spent a long time looking for student accommodation, and in the end I chose The Combworks. Honestly, I’m really happy with my decision. The accommodation is great and has everything I need. There’s a halal shop, a Polish shop, Lidl, and a bus stop all nearby, which makes everyday life much easier. It’s also only about a 10-minute walk to the city centre and the library. One of the best things about The Combworks is the staff. They are always friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a problem or need assistance, they respond quickly and do their best to fix the issue. I’ve had a very positive experience living here and would definitely recommend The Combworks to other students. read more
