Required subjects for Liberal Arts and Sciences BSc Hons at University of Aberdeen
A minimum of 3 A Levels at BBC - at least 2 from Science or Maths subjects.
To be considered for entry into Second Year, a minimum of 3 A Levels at ABB, with AB from 2 science or maths subjects (including the subject(s) nominated for Honours - an A in the subject for Single Honours or AB in the subjects for Joint Honours).
Also required: GCSE at C or above in English or English Language, Mathematics and in either Chemistry, or Physics or Dual Award Science.

As a PhD student, I really value having a place that feels comfortable, peaceful and convenient, and Old Fire Station has been a lovely choice for me. The staff are wonderful, the accommodation is clean and cosy, and the location is excellent. The University is around a 15-minute walk away, with shops, buses and the city centre also nearby. I moved in after surgery and was especially grateful for how comfortable and practical the space felt during my recovery. For me, it offers a really nice balance of comfort, location and a welcoming atmosphere. read more

I had a wonderful stay here and really enjoyed my experience. The apartment is very comfortable, warm and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and study. I also felt very safe here, as the building has excellent security and everything is well managed. There is a large study area and a gym downstairs, which is very convenient, especially for students. My bedroom was also very quiet and had a lovely view, with blue skies, green trees and a clear view of the university library from the window. The location is also very convenient. There is a Chinese supermarket right opposite the apartment, which makes it very easy to buy groceries and everyday essentials. There are also larger supermarkets such as Lidl nearby, and the city centre is within easy reach. I would also like to give special thanks to the Chinese receptionist, who was extremely friendly, helpful and patient. He was always willing to help whenever I had questions and made me feel very welcome. read more

Studying at the University of Aberdeen has been a truly rewarding experience. The university provides an excellent learning environment with knowledgeable and supportive lecturers who are always willing to help students succeed. My experience with the Computing Science department has been genuinely disappointing. Feedback is vague, and lecture materials and assignment instructions are rarely delivered clearly. It's not just me the university's ranking has been dropping significantly in the last decade, and Aberdeen has been in serious financial trouble, which shows in how inconsistent the teaching has become. Worst of all: I formally requested clarification in writing about an assignment from one lecturer and was told I needed no extra information, everything was in the assignment file. I completed the work as instructed. I was then told additional instructions had supposedly been given verbally in class — contradicting what I'd been told in writing — and got a zero mark for not following them. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere that actually respects its students. read more
