A minimum of 3 A Levels at BBC - Mathematics OR two Science subjects required.
To be considered for entry into Second Year, a minimum of 3 A Levels at ABB, with AB from 2 science or maths subjects (including the subject(s) nominated for Honours - an A in the subject for Single Honours or AB in the subjects for Joint Honours).
Also required: GCSE at C or above in English or English Language, Mathematics and in either Chemistry, or Physics or Dual Award Science.

My experience with the Computing Science department has been genuinely disappointing. Feedback is vague, and lecture materials and assignment instructions are rarely delivered clearly. It's not just me the university's ranking has been dropping significantly in the last decade, and Aberdeen has been in serious financial trouble, which shows in how inconsistent the teaching has become. Worst of all: I formally requested clarification in writing about an assignment from one lecturer and was told I needed no extra information, everything was in the assignment file. I completed the work as instructed. I was then told additional instructions had supposedly been given verbally in class — contradicting what I'd been told in writing — and got a zero mark for not following them. An absolute joke. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere that actually respects its students and at least try to teach the students properly. read more

Unfortunately I dont feel as if theres high job prospects for computing anymore and the course can sometimes be let down for the intense structuring with us learning national 5 levels of python in the first term and advanced higher levels in the second term. I have found that despite this the teachers and personal tutor are always willing to help, improving the experience vastly. read more
