The two subjects cross over far more often that I would’ve thought, which makes for great connections between the two that, at times, make me feel as though it’s deliberate.

With how everything has played out I definitely do not think we got our money’s worth. As an international students 15k a year is a lot and we need to be refunded. What I do outmost admire about my university is the services. I’ve never been able to get help the way that Aberdeen has given. AUSA really care about the quality of life of its students and I absolutely respect read more

Anthropology and Archaeology, MA Hons FullTime

Lecturers were professional and approachable. The Anthropology course content was really eye-opening and encouraged us to consider interesting new perspectives on all sorts of topics from food to love to death. One of my friends did complain that the course used too many specific examples and wished they would talk more about 'the bigger picture' on topics we were studying. Archaeology was also really interesting, but the course covers loads so it's easy to fall behind if you miss a lecture. Both courses were challenging but not too difficult. Hardly saw my personal tutor, it wasn't made clear what kind of issues we were supposed to contact our tutors about if we had any. Don't know about job prospects because I was in first year. Anthropology was all theory. Archaeology was much better, with a unit about archaeological practice, a few practicals and plenty of volunteering opportunities when I spoke to my lecturers. read more

Anthropology and Psychology, MA Hons FullTime

Was supposed to have 2 personal tutors and 1 advisor of studies over a 2 year period, and they were each meant to see you 3-4 times a year. I saw one of them once, and they never replied to my emails, even when I was asking for advice due to wanting to transfer/ leave. According to one Dr, the staff despised having to do more work for no extra pay. No value for money. They spend your fees on sports equipment instead, most of the lecturers read from 10 year old power point presentations and called that teaching. read more
